Gus is Two Months Old!

I can't believe Gus is already two months old! This time has flown by. It's so fun to watch him grow and change every day. All in all, he is a very happy baby and we're getting much better at knowing his likes and dislikes, which makes things much easier.
I couldn't get him to look at my because he was staring at the fan.

We went to the doctor for his two month checkup and they said he looks really great! He caught a cold from Audrey about two weeks ago, so he has been pretty congested. The doctor said he will probably continue to catch colds from Sister, so just get used to it! Great. She said his development looked good and that he "is really cute!" We totally agree. The nurse who gave him his shots said that he was the first two month old who fought back so hard when she tried to pin down his legs. He's a strong little baby! Here are his official stats.

Weight: 9 lbs. 15.8 oz. (17%)
Lenght: 21.5 in. (10%)
Head: 15.5 in. (40%)

The doctor noticed some flatness on the right side of his head. He has always preferred laying on his right side and its starting to show. So she sent us to a physical therapist for some tips to help him try to avoid wearing the dreaded helmet. She said his problem is very mild, so she's confident that we can correct it with some stretches and positioning tricks.

Developmentally they said he is right on track. He is starting to show some smiles, but its still not very consistent. He has continued to flip over from his tummy to his back during tummy time, so I don't think its a fluke - he is just a strong little guy! He loves being in his swing and he has recently discovered the ceiling fans. He could stare at them all day long! He also loves his baths - such a happy guy! He likes to hold onto one of the washcloths to keep him warm. One things that makes him really angry is the NoseFrida! We've been using it to help with the congestion and he really hates it! That the only time he gets really angry.
Bath time!

Audrey has continued to be a great big sister. She is always willing to help out and she loves to give him hugs and kisses. They have fun playing together during tummy time and she can always get  smile out of him!

As far as sleeping goes, unfortunately we have not been as lucky as we were with Audrey. He is a good napper, but is still not sleeping very long stretches at night. It's typically one three hour stretch followed by a couple 2.5 hours stretches, so I'm still getting up a lot with him. Hoping this gets better in the coming weeks.

We still haven't gotten out too much due to the cold weather except for doctor's visits and trips to school to drop Audrey off, but he likes riding in the car. Usually he just sleeps but lately he has been wide-eyed looking out the window and everything. Such a curious little guy! We're just trying to savior every day with him. I don't have to go back to work until July, but I'm sure that will be here before I know it!
