Curly Girl!

After bath time tonight, Audrey's hair was curlier than usual! Even Dada made a comment about how curly it was. I think he is secretly thrilled that she got his hair! Mama is going to have to learn how to style and tame curly hair - she surely didn't get this from me!

Love Your Baby!

Audrey does the cutest thing - she'll love on her baby and other toys. When you say, "love your baby" she will hug it close, sway back and forth and pat its back. She does this mostly with her baby, but she's also done it with her hippo, whale and other toys. I'm pretty sure she did it to her egg this morning - unlike her mama, the girl loves eggs! This video isn't the best example - I'll have to try again later to catch it on video! But still pretty darn cute! :-)

Update on Vocabulary

Audrey's vocabulary is expanding day to day - she is quite the little talker! And she's learning new words all the time. She likes to point at things and grunt until you tell her what it is and then she'll giggle. Here is the complete list of words she is saying now...

Mama, Dada, Gaga, Papa, Nana, Bubba (nickname for Brody), O (nickname for Oscar), hi, milk (sounds like ma or me), night-night (sounds like nana), ball, baby (used to be baba, but now it's bay-bee or bee-bee), duck (her favorite bathtime toy), bath (sounds like ba), banana (sounds like nana), egg, block, book, shoe, hat, eye, mouth, no (sounds like na - this is her new favorite word and she'll use it to mock mama on a daily basis).

Officially Walking!

This past weekend, Audrey officially began walking! She has been taking steps here and there, but she was not very confident about her walking abilities and still preferred crawling. It's funny, we really don't know when her "first steps" were because it is such a process. She's been walking with her baby walker since about October and would take a few tentative steps on her own, but this weekend she decided that walking was WAY more fun than crawling!  She's walking from room to room, chasing the dogs and loving every minute of it. She always walks with her arms outstretched - guess it helps with balance. Too adorable!
