Play Date with Garrett

My friend Lisa and I finally found a time to arrange a play date for our kids. Garrett and Audrey are only 6 months apart, so they are both getting to the age where they are more interested in playing with other kids. Not sharing, so much, but playing in the same room together. It's so funny how kids just don't get the concept of sharing. They always want the toy that they other one has. In a room full of toys! I just don't get it! Plus, if we want these two to get married someday, they need to get to know each other! I think they had a good time. Garrett didn't want to leave, so I think it was a success! Poor Garrett had to play with all of Audrey's girly toys, but he seemed to like the tea set and the princess castle. And he loves Mickey Mouse too, so we had plenty of Mickey toys for him to enjoy.
I think she was trying to give him a fist bump, but he wasn't having it.

Very hard to get them to stand still for a photo!

First Snowy Adventure

We got a few inches of snow on New Year's Eve, so on New Year's Day, we bundled Audrey up for her first experience with snow. We discovered that we didn't have proper snow gloves for her (which she kept calling "globs"), so I put some of my gloves on her and it was so hilarious! She was holding her hands up and not moving them. She and Dada went in the back yard and threw a few snowballs, but the snow wasn't wet enough to make a snowman (even though she kept asking for one). We're definitely going to need to get some snow gear and a sled so we're prepared for our next snow. She loved playing in it!
