We took a family vacation to Vail, CO with my parents. It was Audrey's first real vacation and first time on an airplane and she did great! We had been telling her she was going to go on an airplane and she couldn't wait. We were able to keep her entertained with books, coloring and of course the trusty iPad so she could watch Mickey.
We stayed in a fabulous condo right by the mountains in the heart of Vail. We just relaxed and even found some fun kid-friendly activities. One morning, Gaga and I took her to a children's learning center where she could play while the guys golfed. She loved it! We also went mini-golfing. It was Audrey's first time and she really liked it. She would hit the ball once, then pick it up, put it right next to the hole and knock it in. Great strategy if you ask me!
We also took the gondola up to the top of the mountain to take in the sights and have lunch. They even had pony rides for kids. At first, Audrey really loved it, but after a few minutes, she got really scared and wanted to get off. As she got near me on the horse she said "Mama, get me!"
All in all, it was a successful trip and lots of fun! Audrey loved all of the adventure. She kept asking "Where are we going NOW???" Great to spend some time with Gaga and Papa and to have a vacation as a family of three before we welcome our new addition in January!
