Halloween 2013

Audrey really enjoyed Halloween this year. This was the first year she really understood it and wanted to participate, so it was so much fun. She decided she wanted to be a witch because we got a great book from a friend called Room on the Broom and we've been reading it non-stop all month. In fact, she has managed to memorize the entire book. She had to be a cute witch of course instead of a scary witch and I found the perfect costume. She loved it!

We started out our week of celebration by going to a Halloween party at Audrey's school. They had each room set up with a different activity - one had tattoos, one had photos, one had bobbing for apples and snacks, etc. It was to cute and she had a great time.

Then on Halloween night, we went over to Nana and Papa's to go trick or treating. She only lasted for about 4 houses, but she had a great time and was a pro at saying "Trick or Treat!" by the time we got done. Then we made a quick stop and Uncle Brian and Aunt Laura's to see Billy and Lucy, but she was getting tired, so we didn't stay long.

Carving Pumpkins

This was the first year we decided to actually carve our pumpkins because we thought Audrey would enjoy it. She enjoyed the final product, but quickly lost interest in the carving activity, so poor Dada was left to do it all by himself. He did a great job! We got some patterns and we chose the easiest one they had -  ghost! I think it turned out pretty well! After carving one, we decided the other ones would be fine un-carved!

Ready to carve!

Annual Pumpkin Patch Trip

This year we went to the KC Pumpkin Patch, which is pretty close to our house out in Olathe and it didn't disappoint. There was lots of fun things for Audrey to do and we found 4 perfect pumpkins. We went a little earlier than usual to beat the rush, but it was still pretty crowded. And we had a pretty chilly morning, but that didn't stop Audrey from wanting to go down every single slide at least four times. She had a blast!

I thought she was too small for this zip line thing,
but she was determined to go and did a great job!
