He started smiling at about 9 weeks. He still hasn't laughed yet, but I think that takes a while to happen. We've still been going to physical therapy for his plagiocephaly (flat head) and torticollis (tight neck muscles). The PT said it is very mild and he won't need a helmet, but his neck muscles are very tight. So we're doing stretches and strength training to make sure he's not lagging in head control.
I took him to the doctor since he caught a cold from Audrey to get him checked out. I was worried it might be an ear infection, but they said he looked good, just congested. They also weighed him and he was up to about 11 lbs.
We'd been trying to get him to take a bottle and he was VERY resistant. We started at about 8 weeks and he would just cry every time! We just kept trying almost every day and he finally got used to it. Good thing since I'm going to have to leave him at some point!
The first time he willingly took a bottle was from Gaga - the baby whisperer! |
He is so much fun and very loved! Audrey is pretty smitten. She always wants to hold him and is very concerned about him. Such a little momma. And Gus loves her too. He always smiles and lights up when he sees her.
