Happy Easter!

Today we celebrated Audrey's second Easter. Last year, she was too little to appreciate the festivities, so this year, it was so fun to see her try to hunt for Easter eggs. We had lunch at Nana and Papa's house and she got to see her cousins. We had a quick Easter egg hunt and then headed over to Gaga and Papa's and got to see her other cousins! By that time, she had already missed a nap and was coming down with a cold, so we didn't do another egg hunt, but she still had fun playing with her cousins and Gaga and Gigi!

Audrey's baby

Audrey's favorite toy right now is her baby doll. She loves to swaddle her and put her to bed, she loves on her and rocks her - it's pretty sweet. Recently, she's started sharing her milk and food with her baby. If she wants her sippy of milk between meals, she'll go to the refrigerator and say "me!" (her word for milk). Today, she asked for her milk specifically for her baby. No, she didn't want any, but apparently the baby was really thirsty for some. It was so adorable. She also has a play tea set and she will share her tea with her baby and with the dogs. What a good little sharer!

Belly button?

Audrey recently discovered her belly button and she's obsessed with it! She's constantly pulling up her shirt, pointing to it and saying "that!" Add this to the list of body parts she knows - head, ear, nose, eye, toes, mouth, teeth, tummy and knee!

Eating with a spoon

Now that Audrey has mastered the art of feeding herself with her hands, we've been trying to get her to eat with a spoon. She can't quite get the food on the spoon, but she can get most of the food in her mouth! We tried today with prunes and that was probably a bad food to start with - check out the mess!

A visit to Gigi's

Today we took a trip up north to visit my grandma, who Audrey calls Gigi. Gigi hadn't seen Audrey in a while and was so excited to see her. She lives in an assisted living community, so Audrey got to say hello to a lot of people who made her the center of attention - just how she likes it! After we visited with Gigi in her room, Audrey hopped on the Jazzy with her and they rode down to the lobby and Gigi got to show off her great granddaughter. Sounds like everyone is still talking about it!
