18 Month Check-up

Audrey went to her 18 month doctor's appointment today and everything went well. Except the fact that she HATES the doctor's office more and more. I think she remembers the torture she has to endure every time she's there. Everyone is so nice, but she just hates the shots so much, so it's not a very fun trip. I always am excited to see how much she's grown, but other than that, I'm starting to dread them too.

Dr. Mellick said she looked very healthy! She's continuing on the same growth curve for height and weight, so the doctor thought she might be tall and slim like her Dada (sounds like she has a shot at being taller than her Mama!).

Second Mother's Day

We celebrated my second Mother's Day and it was perfect! We started the day off by going for a walk and to the park - the weather was amazing! Then Scott and Audrey gave me my cards - Scott's was sweet and sentimental and Audrey's was cute and funny. Scott also got me beautiful tulips and a gift that he says is in the mail. Then we headed over to Gaga's house for lunch with Mandy and her family and Gigi. Audrey skipped her morning nap, so luckily we got her to take a long nap at Gaga's before we headed to the next celebration! During nap time, Meredith and Gwendolyn tried on some of my old dance recital costumes and Meredith and I played Scrabble!

After nap time, we headed to Aunt Crystal's to celebrate with Scott's family. After such a busy day, Audrey was ready for bed by the time we got home. Luckily she was in a good enough mood to get a few good group photos in!

Couch Potato

Lately, Audrey has been very intersted in sitting on the couch like a big girl. She just likes to get up there and sit and play with the pillows. She still can't quite climb on the couch because she is petite.

H&M Fashion Statement

I finally made it back to H&M - only my second time since it opened in KC (I just don't have the time to shop like I used to!). I got Audrey a new hat for summer and she loved it! She wanted to wear it all day. And it just so happened to be the day of the Kentucky Derby - totally fashion appropriate!

New Activity - Coloring!

Lately, we've been trying to get Audrey interested in coloring. One of the perks of working at Hallmark includes testing product for Crayola. They sent us some coloring supplies that are appropriate for toddlers a few months ago. At first, she just wanted to carry the markers and crayons around because they look like little animals. Just within the last few days, she has started to really try to scribble on paper.

Nana's Birthday

Nana's birthday is this week, so we had Scott's family over to have dinner and celebrate! Luckily, Audrey was able to stay up until about 7:00 before she started getting really tired, so she got to play with all of her cousins for a while.
