Foot Stuck!

A couple weeks ago on a Saturday, Audrey was down for her nap, so I went to run some errands and Scott stayed home to do some housework while she napped. About half way through her nap, Scott said she started crying a sat up. This was very unusual for her to do during nap time, so Scott went up to check on her. Somehow, she had managed to get her foot stuck between two of the crib spokes and couldn't get it out. Scott said it was really stuck, so he went to get some vaseline to try to slide it out. Luckily, he was able to get it out without having to get an axe and use his firefighting rescue skills.

After she woke up, Scott and I were asking her what happened. This is how the conversation went.

Dada/Mama: "Audrey, what happened during your nap?"
Audrey: "Foot stuck! Cry...sad baby!"
Dada/Mama: "Then what happened?"
Audrey: "Cream!" (this is what she calls the Vaseline) "Dada help!"

Ever since this has happened, she likes to tell the story over and over again when we ask her about it. I'm always amazed at what she remembers!
